Razorback Recovery Community to Host Woo Pig Sober Watch Party for Hogs Vs. Tigers

The Razorback Recovery Community is hosting a Razorbacks watch party for the upcoming football game against the Auburn Tigers.

The watch party begins at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, in the Wellness Center (located next to Subway in the Garland Center shops), and will include free food, games, and a laid back atmosphere to watch the game and meet new people. Doors open at 4 p.m.

"We are so excited to host our first Woo Pig Sober watch party of the season in the Wellness Center, said Asher Morgan, substance abuse prevention coordinator. "Being a student in recovery can sometimes be challenging when you want to take part in various campus events such as football games. The RRC watch party is a great venue for those students to engage with their peers and cheer on the Hogs!"

The Razorback Recovery Community offers various events and resources for students in recovery from alcohol and other drugs. The Razorback Recovery Community is one program offered by the office of Substance Education and Alcohol Resources (SEAR) and the Pat Walker Health Center's department of Wellness & Health Promotion. About SEAR: The Substance Education and Alcohol Resources office aims to provide comprehensive programming to create a culture of responsible and values-based decision-making regarding alcohol and other drug use on campus and in the surrounding community. This will be achieved by providing a range of research-based prevention, early intervention, and recovery support services to the University of Arkansas campus.
