U of A Offers Free Lunch and Learn Series for HR Professionals
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Human resource professionals can earn recertification credit from the Society of Human Resource Management and the HR Certification Institute for each course attended in the new HR Lunch and Learn Series.
The courses are offered at no cost and open to the public. A limited number of seats are available at the Global Campus, located at 3300 Market St. in Rogers. All courses will also be offered online.
“How to Be an HR Employee Champion Who Empowers Others” will be taught by instructor Dana Young of mPoweredHR from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14. Topics include “How to Be A Champion for Yourself First, and Then An Employee Champion” and “How to Move From a Transactional HR Professional to a Sought-After Business Partner.” Registration is available online.
“HR Leads the Way as a Business Partner” will be offered from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11. Darrell Rosen of Optimus Training and Development will be instructing this course. Participants will learn to speak the business language, apply HR skills to solve business issues, and demonstrate the real power of HR as a business partner. Register online.
“People are the largest expense on business profit and loss statements,” said Rosen. “Gaining productivity and an energized, skilled workforce is paramount to business success and issue resolution.”
The University of Arkansas Global Campus is recognized by the Society of Human Resource Management to offer 1 professional development credit for the Certified Professional and Senior Certified Professional designations for each of these courses. The courses are pending approval for recertification credits from the HR Certification Institute.
