The second annual Staff Appreciation Week on the University of Arkansas campus will be Oct. 10-14. The Staff Senate has arranged a week full of activities and local discounts designed to celebrate, reward and extend information resources to the more than 5,000 staff members of the University of Arkansas. These activities include a Family Movie Night in the Gardens with a viewing of the movie Zootopia; a retirement workshop; a Going Back to School workshop; an ice cream social, and much more.

The staff at the University of Arkansas are a professional group of people who work behind the scenes to help guarantee the success of our students and secure the reputation of the University of Arkansas as a flagship institution.  During the week, students, faculty and administrators are encouraged to highlight some of their favorite staff members on social media by using #StaffSooie.

"The commitment and dedication of our outstanding staff, who support our academic mission daily, have helped make this university nationally prominent," said Chancellor Joe Steinmetz. "They are the people who keep this university running, who embody its values and traditions, and they are a major reason the University of Arkansas is great."
