Blackboard Collaborate Unavailable During Short Upgrade Thursday Morning

Blackboard Collaborate will be unavailable from 1 to 3 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6. During this time, users will not be able to enter a Collaborate session, and the Qwickly tool in Blackboard Learn will not be available. Anyone already logged into a Collaborate session will not be affected.

The Collaborate upgrade will fix issues related to Collaborate recordings. Any sessions that were recorded, but did not appear in the recorded sessions area, should appear within 48 hours.

During this maintenance window, the Lynda.com building block will also be added to Blackboard Learn. The building block will give faculty the ability to add Lynda.com courses to their Blackboard courses using the "mashup" tool. Faculty may also add content by linking to Lynda.com courses or specific videos.   The Global Campus Learning Technology Support team can help faculty integrate Lynda.com tutorials into their courses. Contact Shelly Walters at saw034@uark.edu for assistance.

In general, contact the Blackboard Learn Help Desk at 479-575-6804 or bbhelp@uark.edu for assistance. The Help Desk is available Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 6 to 11 p.m.
