Study Like a Hog Resource Fair: Tools for Academic Success
University Housing

University Housing presents the Study Like a Hog Resource Fair this Friday in an effort to help students connect with academic resources on campus.

The Study Like a Hog Resource Fair takes place from 1:30-3 p.m. Friday in the Arkansas Union Connections Lounge.

At the Study Like a Hog Resource Fair, students can attend a study tips talk by University of Arkansas' professors Lynn Jacobs and Jeremy Hyman (co-authors of "The Secrets of College Success").

They can also discover and talk through the influence of their individual learning style and browse booths representing various academic support resources on campus.

University Housing partnered with several academic resources on campus including:

  • Class +
  • CAPS
  • Fulbright Advising

"Sometimes discovering all the academic resources on campus can be daunting for a new student at the university. Our hope with Study Like a Hog is to bring all those resources together at a time when students are really keyed in to how they will finish their first semester," said Kathryn Lammers, Housing coordinator for residence education.

Students will be given a "report card" to track which booths they've visited. Completed cards can be turned in to be entered to win prizes including a set of "Power Beats" by Dr. Dre.

Please pre-register for this event here.

All students who have pre-registered will be entered to win a Keurig coffee maker. The winner must be present at the presentation to win.

The Study Like a Hog Resource Fair is an academic component of Housing's @Home series. The @Home series consists of 14 signature events during the school year that focus on academic success, personal development or diversity education.
