The Social Network, Free Popcorn on Sept. 25
The Social Network will be screened in the Arkansas Union Theatre for all faculty, students, staff, and guests.
The Office of Academic Initiatives and Integrity, University Programs, and the Arkansas Union will host a viewing of The Social Network on Sunday, Sept. 25, in the Arkansas Union Theatre of the University of Arkansas. This event will kickoff Integrity Awareness Week, which will run through Sept. 30.
This film follows the story of Harvard student Mark Zuckerburg, creator of Facebook. Zuckerburg was accused of stealing the ideas of two brothers who sued him for theft of intellectual property. Not only will we get a glimpse into the life of the world's youngest billionaire, but we will learn important lessons of friendship and ethics in business.
The goals for Integrity Awareness Week include:
- Increase awareness about the University's Academic Initiatives and Integrity office and resources.
- Educate on issues related to academic and professional ethics.
- Promote honesty and ethical decision-making in all aspects of student-life.
