Homecoming BIG Committee Application Deadline Sept. 11

The 2016 Homecoming BIG Committee has openings available to current Student Alumni Association members.
The application deadline is Sept. 11, and Student Alumni Association members can apply at arkansasalumni.org/homecomingBIG. Join the tradition and help make the 2016 Homecoming Celebration a success.

Homecoming 2016 at the University of Arkansas will take place from Oct. 9-15, ending with the Razorback Football game again the Ole Miss Rebels. It will be a week of longstanding tradition filled with several events geared for the student body, alumni and the Razorback community as a whole.

Events include Color Those Hogs 5K, Canned Food Drive, Senior Walk Dedication, Dickson Street Parade and Homecoming Pep Rally.

Students can select their committee preferences, which include:

  • Color Those Hogs 5K on Oct. 9 - Members will aid in the organizing and advertising of event. Day of responsibilities include but are not limited to setting up 5K path, throwing color, directing runners, handing out water, working registration, and cleaning up after race. 
  • Campus Decorations on Oct. 13 - Members will aid in the organizing and advertising of event. Day of responsibilities include but are not limited to setting up and cleaning up for the Homecoming decoration showcase. 
  • Canned Food Drive on Oct. 9 and 11 - Assist in taking, organizing and counting donated food as well as promoting food drive.

By volunteering on the BIG Committee, students will not be able to participate in the specific events they are selected to work.
Students selected for the BIG Committee will need to attend a committee meeting at either 6 p.m. Sept. 13 or 6 p.m. Sept. 14.
