Google Analytics Custom Reports Training

The University of Arkansas Digital Design and Development recently launched Google Analytics Custom Reports Training. If you want to learn more about Google Analytics but are intimidated by the tool, this training is for you. Google Analytics Custom Reports training pulls all of the most relevant information from Google Analytics into two custom reports that are easy to access and read.

After speaking with OU Campus trainees, it became apparent that most people stayed away from Google Analytics due to the robust nature of the program. Because Google Analytics has so many connected yet moving parts, it is easy for an unexperienced user to get a little turned around. The solution for this was to provide an easy way for everyone to access the information quickly and easily.

What the Reports Include

The Google Analytics Custom Reports are actually split into two separate custom reports. The first one, the General Analytics Report, focuses on the main items such as page views, users, user flow and location. The second, Social Media Performance Report, focuses on social networks, peak days and times.

Who Should Attend

Google Analytics Custom Reports training can benefit all content managers and content contributors on the University of Arkansas campus. You can sign up for Google Analytics Custom Reports training on the Employee Development Program website. The first available Google Analytics Custom Reports training is on Wednesday, June 15.

Where to Attend

Google Analytics Custom Reports training is located in Team Room ARKU A354 in the Arkansas Union. Enter the Union on the east side of the building that faces Mullins Library. The Computer Lab is located to the right of the fireplace at the end of the lobby. ARKU A354 Training Room is to the right just past the reception desk inside the Computer Lab.

Training Prerequisites

Before attending Google Analytics training, you must first have a Google account set up that is tied to your uark.edu email address. Once you have an account, submit your Google account information as well as the url to the department that you will need analytics on and through an Askit case at webhelp.uark.edu four days prior to training date.
