Music Education Student to Lobby Congress About Importance of Music in Schools
Robert Edwards, a University of Arkansas music education student, will represent the state of Arkansas at the National Association for Music Education's Collegiate Advocacy Summit, June 22-24.
Rob will meet face to face with U.S. legislators and their staffs in Senate and Representative offices on Capitol Hill engaging in discussions about the importance of music education in the public schools. He will also participate in advocacy training that he will be able to bring back and share with our local University of Arkansas collegiate NAfME chapter. Rob currently serves as president of the University of Arkansas chapter of the National Association for Music Education.
