Beginning racquetball is one of the courses to be offered.

Physical activity courses will be offered this summer for the first time in several years at the University of Arkansas. The courses include several one-hour credit options.

All the courses with the PEAC code can typically be used as electives in a degree program.

"Learning a new sport can be very enjoyable and staying fit is especially important," said Dean Gorman, professor of kinesiology. "The 'Physical Education for Special Populations' course will acquaint students with the different varieties of disabilities and include many simulation activities such as wheelchair basketball, beep baseball and sign language. There is also an honors section for students who need honors credits."
