FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Construction crews from the City of Fayetteville and the University of Arkansas will begin work Monday, May 9 to ultimately extend Stadium Drive from MLK Boulevard through the current Virginia Avenue and to the intersection at West Clinton Drive.

People still living in the Virginia Avenue and West Clinton Drive neighborhood will still be able to access their homes, but all through traffic will be re-routed (see blue route on map.) The detour will take north/south traffic from Leroy Pond Drive along West Clinton Drive to Stadium Drive.

Construction work will continue through the summer, with roundabouts being installed at West Clinton Drive and Leroy Pond Drive. Ultimately Stadium Drive will run through to MLK Boulevard. The work should be completed by the end of October.
