Elementary Chinese Classes to be Offered During the Summer 2016 Term

The Chinese program in  the Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Arkansas plans to offer Elementary Chinese I and II (CHIN 1003 and CHIN 1013) during the summer 2016 term. This will be the first time that these classes have been offered in the summer term. Students who complete both Elementary Chinese I and II can continue with Intermediate Chinese I (CHIN 2003) in the fall 2016 semester. This will shorten the time that the students need to take to fullfill the language requirement for a Chinese minor.

In the fall semester, the Chinese program also offers Elementary Chinese I along with Intermediate Chinese I, Advanced Chinese (CHIN 3003) and Business Chinese Language: Speaking and Writing (CHIN 4333). Students who do not have the Chinese language background yet but are interested in Chinese culture, can select Chinese Culture and Films (CHIN 3103), which will be taught in English.
