It's Time to Go 'All In' on the U of A's 145th Birthday

At 6 a.m. this morning, the University of Arkansas began celebrating its 145th birthday in a big, big way with the launch of All in for Arkansas, the university's first-ever online giving day.

The birthday celebration and online fundraising event will take place for 1,871 minutes in honor of the university's founding year, concluding at 1:11 p.m. tomorrow.

The goal?  To rally all who love Arkansas — on campus and around the world — in support of all that makes the Hill such a special place.

Participation is key to the success of All in for Arkansas, and numerous challenges will be issued throughout the day to spur excitement and encourage donations of all sizes. Gifts can be made online at allinforarkansas.uark.edu and can be directed to any college, school, program or scholarship. Faculty and staff can also contribute through a new, easy-to-use online payroll deduction option.

Be sure to follow the U of A on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram throughout the day for exciting #Allin4Arkansas updates and challenge announcements.

And because no birthday is complete without cake, all students, staff and faculty are invited to drop by the Union Mall between 1-3 p.m. today for a fun-filled birthday party, hosted by the Student Alumni Association. The official cake cutting will be held at 1:45 p.m. with Chris Wyrick, vice chancellor for advancement.

Thanks in advance for going All in for Arkansas and celebrating the U of A's 145th birthday in a way that makes a big difference!
