'Becoming a Man of Distinction' Workshop Challenges Male Students

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Bryant K. Smith, founder and creator of the male development seminar “Life Station” and “The Remix Hip Hop Leadership Institute,” will present the workshop “Becoming a Man of Distinction,” from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, in Arkansas Union 507.

The workshop designed to challenge male students to self-reflect and discuss the diverse and changing image of manhood. The Center for Multicultural and Diversity Education will host this free event. All students are welcome, and food will be provided.

 This workshop is part of the new Men of Distinction program for young men participating in the Academic Enrichment Program. Men of Distinction is supported by a grant from the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation to develop leadership and learning opportunities and to improve academic engagement, retention and achievement among men of color at the University of Arkansas. The program is actively recruiting new members.
