Center for Multicultural and Diversity Education Offers Faculty and Staff Trainings
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Safe Zone Allies Training will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, in Arkansas Union 403. Safe Zone Allies is a network of educated and supportive allies for LGBTQ students, faculty and staff at the University of Arkansas. The training is an orientation designed to promote awareness and support of the LGBTQ community by exploring and discussing sexual and gender identities.
An Our Campus Diversity presentation will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 10, in Arkansas Union 403. This training is an interactive introduction to the University of Arkansas community’s needs and goals for diversity. The presentation is designed to explore the demographics and experiences of our students, staff and faculty, and to foster a climate of inclusion and understanding. The program is designed for new faculty and staff members and is open to any faculty or staff who are interested in contributing to a more inclusive campus.
