Attracting Intelligent Minds Conference This Wednesday

Black Graduate Student Association invites students to the annual Attracting Intelligent Minds Conference at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, in the Center for Multicultural and Diversity Education in the Arkansas Union at the University of Arkansas. Prospective graduate students from historically black colleges and universities will also attend as they visit the campus, meet with faculty and student in departments of interest, and witness all the great things the University of Arkansas has to offer.

Keynote speaker will be Yomi Martin, a business developer and business owner with 15 years of experience in brand rebuilding and startups. He will be speaking on the theme Is Your Network Working for You? As we, students, trek through our collegiate careers, we are frequently told "It is not always WHAT you know, but rather WHO you know." This workshop provides firsthand knowledge on how to strategically network and effectively utilize that network to advance your career and pursue personal and professional goals.

This event is supported by the Student Activities Fee as a funded event by the Associated Student Government and is free to all currently enrolled University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, students who pay the student activities fee. For questions about the event or for accommodations due to disability please contact Joe Daniels, BGSA president, by email at jwdaniel@uark.edu, or by phone at 301-537-7642.
