Join University Recreation in Celebrating National Recreational Sports and Fitness Day

University Recreation is hosting Rec Day, a free event honoring National Recreation Sports and Fitness Day on Monday, Feb. 22. The event will take place from 4-7 p.m. in HPER Gyms 2, 3, and 4. An obstacle course including inflatables, a slackline, a wheelchair basketball shot, and more will be available to students, who can compete at Recreational or Competitive difficulty levels. Drawings for prizes will be held, with special prizes for those who complete all of the obstacles at a certain level.

Rec Day will include a health fair featuring campus organizations and local vendors. Free food, a photo booth, and a variety of games will also be available to participants.

"We are excited to put on Rec Day and involve participants in some non-traditional ways to recreate," said John Mark Cagle, graduate assistant for University Recreation.

"It is a great opportunity to promote the UREC mission of engaging and enhancing the University of Arkansas community, as well as offering up something fun in the process."

The event is free and open to student and UREC members. Registration is not required for entry.
