Wi-Fi Authentication Issue Resolved for Windows, Android and Ubuntu Devices

IT Services has confirmed that campus Wi-Fi networks are now compatible with all devices after implementing a fix from hardware vendors. The fix, applied during maintenance on Jan. 17, resolved a problem that prevented some devices from connecting to UARK 5G and 2G Wi-Fi networks.

The issue was caused last fall when Windows 10, Android 6.0 and Ubuntu 15.10 adopted new security standards that were incompatible with secure wireless networks. The new security standards provide better protection for user information and devices.
