Pat Walker Health Center Receives Accreditation
Trust in the health care industry is a vital component to receiving high quality care and services. But, how do you know whom to trust when it comes to your health? Fortunately for the University of Arkansas community, you need to look no further than the Pat Walker Heath Center.
Recently, the health center received accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care for their ongoing commitment to high-quality care and patient safety. This accreditation lasts through October 2018.
The Pat Walker Health Center embraces the process of accreditation because, ultimately, our patients benefit from the high standards of AAHC," says Mary Alice Serafini, executive director of the health center. "Accreditation is a continuous effort of self-study that lead to intentional improvements based on analytics of our practices and national benchmarks."
Upon inspection from AAAHC's independent team of health care professionals, the health center was found to exceed their rigorous, nationally recognized standards for quality health and medical care services. Maintaining accreditation demands a high level of commitment and effort, which challenges health care staff to find better ways to serve the University of Arkansas community.
"The University of Arkansas community is fortunate to have access to medical care that adheres to the highest standards of care," said Serafini. "While the Pat Walker Health Center is one of hundreds of accredited health centers, we are especially proud of the professional staff who led the way to accreditation and best practices."
