Immortal Poets Society Highlights Authors of the Past

Remember the poets of the past with University Programs' special two-night event, "Immortal Poet Society."

Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 7 p.m., join University Programs in the UP Video Theater for a screening of the Robin Williams classic, Dead Poets' Society.

Then come back at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, in the Anne Kittrell Art Gallery for an open mic night. Students will be invited to perform their own poetry or acoustic music. The evening will also feature poems written by poets that are deceased but whose works are immortal.

This event is sponsored by the Digital Media and Coffeehouse committees of University Programs and is funded by the Student Activities Fee. For more information please contact Will Melendez-Suchi, upia@uark.edu, Micah Minter, upcoffee@uark.edu, or call 479-575-5255.
