RazorGift Staff Holiday Gift Program

The University of Arkansas Staff Senate is sponsoring the RazorGift Staff Holiday Gifting Program for the first time starting this year! Applications will be accepted through 4:30 p.m. this Friday, Nov. 6.

Employee-to-employee gifting is the basis of this rewarding and appreciated program. Staff members can all play a role in making the holidays a great time for individuals in need within our community.

Statistics show that 25 percent of Northwest Arkansas children live in poverty, 50 percent of our homeless population are children, and 27 percent of our children are in danger of going hungry tonight. These statistics are alarming. Currently the Jane Gearhart Full Circle Campus Food Pantry provides food and personal products to all members of the University of Arkansas community.

The Staff Senate gifting program is designed to assist staff through the holidays by obtaining employee donated gifts and essentials for dependent children. The program is driven by employee-to-employee gifting, and the University of Arkansas is not a sponsor or participant.

Donations

To make donations, those who wish to fulfill requested items are encouraged to visit the virtual registry, which will be viewable beginning Nov. 13 at www.myregistry.com/organization/Staff-Senate-Fayetteville-AR/966126.

Those who wish to make cash donations please contact ssgifts@uark.edu for additional information. All cash donations will be used to purchase remaining items not selected from the virtual site before Dec. 4. All gifts must be delivered by Dec. 4. Distribution of gifts will occur Dec. 14-18.

Gifts made under the Staff Holiday Gift Program are made by members of the university community to dependent children of university employees and are not gifts to the university. Staff Senate will make every effort to gift each applicant accepted into the program; however, Staff Senate cannot guarantee that every applicant will receive a gift.
