Three Days Left in Community Strong - Child By Child Campaign
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The U of A United Way campaign wraps up Saturday, Oct. 31. So far 803 campus staff and faculty have contributed $118,801, which is 74 percent of the campaign goal.
The money raised goes to the United Way of Northwest Arkansas to help the 26,000 children in our region who live in poverty. The United Way supports 57 agencies and 67 programs that provide services to these children.
Donations can still be made online at http://unitedway.uark.edu or through personal pledge cards.
Either way you can choose to make a payroll deduction, donate cash or a check, or ask the United Way of Northwest Arkansas to send you a bill. If you’ve made a payroll deduction in the past you need to renew it this year or it will expire.
If you go online, please turn in your pledge card as well – even if you contribute to our community in another way. We want to count your contribution. And we want you to be eligible for the final drawing for one of five $100 Walmart gift cards.
So far the total participation rate for the campus stands at 25 percent.
