Department Preparing for Animal Science Day
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas Department of Animal Science is preparing for its second annual Animal Science Day. The Pauline Whitaker Animal Science Center will be transformed into a haunted house, and trick or treating space on Oct. 30.
Activities will begin at 5:30 p.m. with trick-or-treating, a photo booth and more. Other entertainment will include a costume contest, both human and canine, herding dog demonstrations and an Old Timers livestock-judging contest.
"The goal of this event is to encourage the alumni, emeritus faculty, faculty, staff and friends of the department to stay involved," said Michael Looper, head of the department.
Admission is free, and a concession stand operated by the department's Block and Bridle club will be serving food. This is a community event, and is open to the public.
