Graduate Students to Present Exercise Science Research

Cory Butts and Aaron Caldwell, University of Arkansas graduate students in exercise science, will present their research from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23 in Room 311 of the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Building.

Their presentations are part of the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation Research Seminar Series. The seminars are free and open to the public. The series is intended to expose students and faculty to research being conducted in the department. Refreshments will be served.

Butts will present "Physiological and Perceptual Effects of a Cooling Garment During Industrial-Type Work in the Heat," and Caldwell will present "The Effects of Caffeine on Recovery from an Endurance Cycling Event." Both have Master of Science degrees. Butts conducts research with Brendon McDermott, assistant professor of kinesiology, and Caldwell conducts research with Matt Ganio, assistant professor of kinesiology.
