Integrity Awareness Week Presents 'Between Plagiarism and Copyright: The Ethics of News Aggregation'

Retweet, reblog, share, like and follow, these are the actions driving news consumption today. Everyone participates in the aggregation of news content online everyday. What makes posting an existing story or video plagiarism, and how much of the content can you share before you violate copyright? These are the questions facing content producers in a face-paced online media environment. Professors Patsy Watkins and Ray McCaffrey will discuss the ethics and legal concerns of news aggregation as related to the modern media participation. Presented by Walter J. Lemke Department of Journalism.

Where: Arkansas Union 512
