FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Julie Stagner, a recruiter for online programs, has been named employee of the fourth quarter by the University of Arkansas Global Campus.

Stagner was recognized for her outstanding work in providing information and assistance to prospective students who want to earn degrees from the U of A by studying online. Stagner travels across the state and region to participate in recruiting events and targeted national conferences.

Stagner joined the recruitment team in May, 2014, after serving seven years as a records manager for Self-Paced Online Courses in the Office of Credit Studies at the Global Campus.

"The leadership at the Global Campus makes it easy to work hard," Stagner said. "It is a privilege to be part of this exciting growth and serve as an ambassador for the University of Arkansas' online programs."

Javier Reyes, vice provost for distance education, recognized Stagner at a recent ceremony, presenting her with the award.

"We are proud to see Julie blossoming in her role as a recruiter for online programs," Reyes said. "The work she and others on the team do is critical to the growth and expansion of online education at the University of Arkansas."

The honoree is selected by a vote of all Global Campus employees to recognize outstanding achievement and accomplishments that relate to the unit's goals and the mission of the University of Arkansas. The award winner receives a commemorative certificate and a monetary award.
