Professional Development, Computer Training Workshops Offered by the Global Campus Next Week

ROGERS, Ark. - Registration is open for two continuing education options offered by the Global Campus next week.

Five Tips for Managing Project Risk, part of the Global Campus' new Lunchtime Workplace Tips Series, will be offered on Tuesday, August 11, from noon to 1:00 p.m. both at the Global Campus Rogers facility, located at 3300 Market Street, and online. Attendees will learn to identify potential internal and external project risks, create a contingency plan, and more. This session has been approved for 1 hour (Business) credit toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute (HRCI). It is open to the public, and the cost is $29. Register online.

A workshop on Microsoft Word Basics will be offered on Friday, August 14 at the Global Campus, located at 2 E. Center St. on the downtown Fayetteville square. Participants can register online. Topics covered will include editing, formatting, tables, managing lists, graphics, and more. This workshop is open to the public for $149, but U of A students, faculty, staff and Alumni Association members may attend for $99.
