Moon-Sook Park will accompany six voice students to Europe.

Six voice students from the University of Arkansas Music Department are about to embark on a life-changing adventure that is certain to leave a lasting impression on their academic careers. Moon-Sook Park, assistant professor of music, a voice faculty professor and renowned soprano, will accompany these students for the 2015 Concert Music Service Summer Vocal Camp.

Among them are graduate student Judd Burns; undergraduate seniors Morgan Aldridge, Charles Robinson, and Chris Senty; junior Savannah Bequeaith; and sophomore Corey Swann.

The extensive, f-day CMS Camp from June 16-30 includes five concerts across four different countries, several vocal master classes, hours of rehearsal, and, of course, much sight-seeing. Performers will receive training with top professionals as well as the invaluable experience of performing in some of the Europe's most well-known venues, such as the Czech National Music Museum, Aula University's Liszt Hall, the Bautzen Sorbische Museum, and the Viennese Kirche am Schöpwerk. Performance stops on the tour include: Prague, Czech Republic; Bautzen, Germany; Vienna, Austria; and Budapest as well as Debrecen, Hungary. Immediately following the camp, Park will perform an Opera Gala Concert on June 30 and July 1, in Oradea and Satu Mare, Romania, with the Oltenia Philharmonic Orchestra.

This amazing opportunity will be an experience that the students can gain vital training for their careers. Their travel will help further the exposure of the Music Department and the entire University of Arkansas system. Establishing an invaluable connection with CMS, the students hope to start a yearly tradition of study-abroad performance tours to show the world what the U of A has to offer.
