University Recreation is offering four Small Group Training classes this summer in both the HPER Building and UREC Fitness Center. Each of the four classes run for eight weeks, June 8-July 30. The classes being offered are Foam Roll Yoga and UREC RazorFitness.

Foam Roll Yoga will be offered Monday and Wednesday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the UREC Fitness Center. The cost of this class is $25 for students and $35 for UREC members. In this class participants will use the weight of their body to release stress and trigger point knots with a large, high-density-foam roller while incorporating elements of yoga throughout the class. Through increasing flexibility, body awareness, and core strength, Foam Roll Yoga will leave you feeling actively recovered and energized.

UREC RazorFitness will be offered at the following class days/times: Monday and Wednesday from 5:30pm-6:15pm; Tuesday and Thursday from 12:15-1 p.m. and 4-4:45 p.m. all located in HPER 320. The cost of this class is $25 for students and $35 for UREC members. UREC RazorFitness is designed to improve agility, power, functional fitness, and muscular strength. Workouts will deliver varying degrees of intensity, starting with a dynamic warmup and peaking with high-intensity agility and strength exercises. Whether you are new to fitness or looking for something to switch up your routine, our certified trainers will motivate you through challenging and creative workouts.

University Recreation will be offering free Small Group Training demos June 1-4 at their normally scheduled time. Marc Mitchell consistently participates in Small Group Training on a regular basis and has a lot to say when it comes to what this program has done for him, "Before Foam Roll Yoga, I didn't know much about yoga and what it could do for my mind and body. This class allows me to recharge my batteries, learn more about myself, and strengthen areas that need attention."

Register for Small Group Training at the membership offices located in HPER 225, the UREC Fitness Center in the Arkansas Union or register online at urec.uark.edu > Member Services. The Summer 2015 Small Group Training schedule, registration packet and more information for all session dates and times is listed on the UREC website.
