Razorback Transit to Run Saturday Service This Summer
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Razorback Transit is running summer bus service on Saturdays for the first time, starting this week.
The five University of Arkansas bus lines are all operating on a reduced schedule for the summer, but they will all run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The expanded service is possible thanks to an additional $55,000 in funding from the city of Fayetteville this year.
“In our funding application to the city this year we proposed adding Saturday service during the summer, and the city agreed it was a great idea,” said Adam Waddell, associate director of Transit and Parking. “We serve many Fayetteville residents and visitors, as well as our university students, and having this extra service benefits everyone. The new Saturday service will also make it easier for students and staff to access the university campus during the Summer Intersession classes. All in all it’s just the right thing to do.”
The full schedule and maps of Razorback Transit summer service is available online.
