Alumna Wins Award for Excellence in Medical-Surgical Nursing
Erin Armstrong Merrill, a 2006 graduate of the University of Arkansas Eleanor Mann School of Nursing, won Omaha Magazine's Excellence in Nursing Award in the area of medical-surgical nursing. She is lead staff nurse at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, which is Nebraska's largest health care facility and the teaching hospital for the University of Nebraska.
This was the first year the magazine gave the awards. It is a regional lifestyle magazine with a readership of more than 180,000 in print and online.
Merrill previously was the hospital's 2013 recipient of the Spirit of Nursing Award for Excellence in Patient Care.
