Extended Hours and Study Breaks Offered at Mullins Library

To help students get through the final weeks of the semester, and better prepare for finals, Mullins Library will offer extended hours beginning today and running until Thursday, May 7.

Extended hours include late closes on Fridays and Saturdays and 24-hour access on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. For a complete schedule, visit the University Libraries' schedule.

The Libraries have also once again partnered with groups and departments across campus to help students relieve stress and fight fatigue. Here is the schedule for the now time-honored tradition of UARK Study Breaks:

  • Monday, April 27: The Quality Writing Center offers bagels and coffee at 3pm in their Mullins satellite tutoring space.
  • Monday, April 27: University Recreation helps students power through with coffee and Clif power bars at 6pm Mullins West Lobby. (And they're offering candlelight yoga on 4/30 from 5-7pm in HPER 220!)
  • Tuesday, April 28: The Honors College offers a sweet fix of cookies and lemonade at 2:30pm in Mullins West Lobby.
  • Wednesday, April 29: University Housing provides an afternoon snack of coffee and cookies at 2pm in Mullins West Lobby.
  • Wednesday, April 29: Take a break with the Order of Omega. They provide candy bars at 8pm in Mullins West Lobby.

  • Saturday, May 3: Associated Student Government sponsors a late night treat of coffee and cookies at 10pm in Mullins West Lobby.
  • Monday, May 4: University Libraries provides bagels, coffee, and juice to get you going at 9am in Mullins West Lobby.
  • Tuesday, May 5: Wake up with Fulbright Advising and their coffee and donut holes at 8am in Mullins West Lobby.

There's still time to schedule an individual research consultation - reach out to individual subject librarians, or email refer@uark.edu. These consultations usually take an hour and are tailored to specific research needs. No time for a consult? Check out how to get better search results in JSTOR, or our APA Style Guide on LibGuides, for additional support.

For more information about our hours and services, please check the Libraries' schedule.  Hours can also be heard by dialing 479-575-4101, and today's hours are always available in the upper right-hand corner of the individual library's homepage.
