Galapagos Documentary to Be Screened Free April 26 on Campus

The baroness and her two lovers take center stage in The Galapagos Affair.

A documentary telling the tale of a mysterious affair on the Galapagos Islands in the 1930s will be screened from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at the Arkansas Union Theater on the University of Arkansas campus.

William F. McComas, the Parks Family Professor of Science Education in the College of Education and Health Professions and Galapagos expert, discovered an archive with hundreds of photographs and rolls of 16 mm film and gained the attention of Emmy-winning filmmakers Dayna Goldfine and Dan Geller. The result is The Galapagos Affair: Satan Came to Eden.

The event is free and open to the public with no tickets required. It will include a question-and-answer session with the filmmakers and McComas.
