FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Detours on Razorback Road and Maple Street will be in place this week as the City of Fayetteville contractor continues working to relocate water and sewer mains at the intersection.

Monday, March 16, the trenching operation will close the right turn lane from Razorback Road east bound onto Maple Street. Drivers will have to make the right turn at the 4-way stop.

Tuesday, March 17 the right turn lane from Razorback Road east on Maple Street will be reopened. The contractor plans to continue trenching across Razorback Road and Maple Street, closing the west bound lane of Maple Street approaching Razorback Road.

The contractor will have flaggers on site to help drivers negotiate the detours. Drivers are urged to use extra caution when traveling through these work areas.

Work conditions as well as the weather may cause changes to the schedule as well as the detour plans.
