Males Needed for Hydration Research Study

Participants wanted for a research study to examine differences in everyday hydration related to two different fluid intake protocols.

The study is seeking 20 males; should be 18-39 years old; no chronic illness or injury; and willing to abstain from physical activity, caffeine, and alcohol for three days each week (six days total).

This study will involve about seven visits to the Human Performance Laboratory (maximum of 1.5 hours per visit) over a three week period; consuming a prescribed diet and amount of water for one day each experimental week (2 days total); blood draws on two days each experimental week. You will receive a free analysis of the amount of body fat and muscle you have and also be entered into a draw to win $100 cash for participating.

The principal investigator is Matthew Ganio. This study has been approved by the University of Arkansas, Institutional Review Board for Human Studies.
