Graduate School of Business Hosts Second M.B.A. Reconnect Weekend

The Graduate School of Business at the Sam M. Walton College of Business will host its second annual M.B.A. Alumni Reconnect Weekend April 17-18, at the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development on the University of Arkansas campus.

The event will kick off with a reception at University House on Friday evening, April 17.

The M.B.A. Alumni Reconnect Weekend provides alumni of the Master of Business Administration program with the opportunity to network with their fellow students and a chance to learn from campus and corporate leaders. This year’s theme is “Thinking Like a Start-Up.” The program will incorporate entrepreneurship and innovative ways of thinking about business for start-ups and non-start-ups alike.

“The Walton M.B.A. faculty is committed to providing lifelong learning opportunities for our alumni,” said Vikas Anand, Walton M.B.A. director.  “The faculty sessions for the M.B.A. Alumni Reconnect Weekend will give participants insight into recent developments in sustainability, big data, supply chain and much more.”

Walton M.B.A. corporate partners are donating their time as well.  Speakers and panelists include keynote speaker Laura Phillips, senior vice president for Omni-Channel Assortments, Walmart Stores Inc., as well as many other business leaders.

Walton M.B.A. alumni interested in attending should register by March 1 for the early bird rate of $60. Additional registrations will be accepted, should space remain after March 1, for $75 each. For more information on the M.B.A. Alumni Reconnect program, contact Anand at vanand@walton.uark.edu or the Graduate School of Business.
