Adults needed for paid research study examining stressful life events and alcohol use
The Intervention Sciences Laboratory in the Department of Psychological Science at the University of Arkansas is conducting a research study designed to increase our understanding of the relation between stressful events, conflict, and drinking. This research is aimed at improving existing treatments for individuals who have experienced a stressful life event.
Adult men and women who have experienced a highly stressful event and currently drink alcohol are needed to participate in a research study that occurs during a four-hour appointment in the laboratory. If you are found to be eligible for the study in a brief screening interview, you will be invited to complete questionnaires and a computer task focused on three different events you have experienced, including one that involved a conflict. The study will take approximately four hours.
