Doctoral Student to Talk About Research on Female Cyclists

Jordan Glenn, a University of Arkansas doctoral student in exercise science, will give a presentation Friday, Feb. 13, titled "The Longitudinal Effects of Beta-Alanine Supplementation on Isometric Strength, Time to Exhaustion, Lower-Body Isokinetic Torque, and Lactate Clearance in Female Masters Athlete Cyclists."

Glenn will talk about his research from 3 to 4 p.m. as part of the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation Research Seminar Series. The seminars take place in Room 316 of the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Building. They are free and open to the public.

Glenn conducts research as part of the Office for Studies on Aging in the College of Education and Health Professions.

The purpose of the seminar series is to expose students and faculty to research being conducted in the department. Refreshments will be served.
