Blackboard Learn Upgrade Scheduled for Christmas Eve

Blackboard corporate technical support will implement an upgrade to Blackboard Learn from 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24, to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 25. Although 24 hours is reserved for the maintenance window, learn.uark.edu is expected to be unavailable for up to 12 hours.

Following the upgrade, faculty will have access to a built-in student view mode, which can be activated by clicking the Enter Student Preview icon at the top right of the course page. Student Preview allows faculty to view a course as a student to ensure that content is working and appears to students as intended.

In addition, the citation checking system SafeAssign will be fully integrated into courses, making it possible to create an assignment and apply SafeAssign options seamlessly.
