The Associated Student Government is excited to announce the launch of the Associate Member Program. This program seeks to engage students on a rolling basis who seek to be a part of the Associated Student Government. ASG President Daniel McFarland issued Executive Order No. 2, creating associate membership.

Associate membership requires minimal commitment and allows associate members to be flexible with their involvement. This program introduces students to the Associated Student Government. Students will be able to observe and participate in limited, specific activities as agents of ASG. The term for associate members is one academic year. Associate members must meet co-curricular requirements as outlined in the Code of Student Life.

“I truly believe that this program will allow individuals that ran for office and were not successful, forgot to turn in their expense report, or even just want to get involved the opportunity to learn about the organization and see where they fit in best,” said McFarland.

Applications are now open and will be accepted on an ongoing basis. Applications must be returned to the Office of Student Activities, ARKU A665. To get more information on the program and how to get involved, visit www.asg.uark.edu or contact ASG Director of Student Involvement, Wil Cheatham at wwcheath@email.uark.edu for further reference.

The Associated Student Government at the University of Arkansas is a student-led organization that acts as an organized voice for all students and strives to effectively represent student interest.
