FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Donations are still coming in – and still being accepted – but the at this point the U of A Everyday Heroes Live United campaign has reached $133,479, 89 percent of its goal. In the final week of the campaign more than $18,000 in contributions came in. The overall participation rate was about 20 percent of campus faculty and staff.

“This is a huge improvement over last year in every way,” said Debbie McLoud, campaign coordinator. “We set high goals, and we shortened the campaign to a single month, but we had a very strong finish and raised more money than last year for the United Way of Northwest Arkansas. I want to thank everyone who worked so hard on this campaign – and everyone who participated. We’ve got a solid foundation to build on for next year and expect to do even better.

“And yes, the website is still up and online donations can still be made. Campus coordinators are still accepting Hero Cards too – although it’s too late to qualify for or gift card drawings.”

The final drawing for $100 gift cards was held Monday, Nov. 3, with an additional six Hero Cards being selected. In all 20 faculty and staff members won gift cards, and 19 have given permission to use their names. Those winners are:
