Voting for 2014 Homecoming Queen Ends Today

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Associated Student Government at the University of Arkansas invites students to cast their votes for the selection of the 2014 Homecoming Queen. The Homecoming Court is one of the oldest and richest traditions at the U of A.

Polls will close at 4 p.m. today. Students can vote at vote.uark.edu. For any questions about the voting process, please contact the Office of Student Activities at 479-575-5255.

The five women of the 2014 Homecoming Court will vie for Homecoming Queen. Students are invited to vote for their Homecoming Queen from the selected women. The Queen will be announced at the Homecoming Pep Rally on Friday, Oct. 24. The 2014 Homecoming Court members along with their class years, majors, and nominating organizations are:

  • Amy May West, senior, agricultural business (economics), Associated Student Government
  • Amy Moorehead, senior, hospitality restaurant management and Spanish, Student Alumni Board
  • Cicely Shannon, senior, international economics and business, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society
  • Kali Lantefield, senior, marketing and economics/minor in international business, Pi Beta Phi
  • Margaret Watermann, senior, honors history, political science and French, Alpha Delta Pi

The queen and her court will be presented during halftime at the Arkansas vs. University of Alabama at Birmingham football game on Saturday, October 25.

Associated Student Government at the U of A is a student-led organization that acts as an organized voice for all students and strives to effectively represent student interests.
