Final Round of the William H. Sutton Barristers' Union Trial Competition Scheduled for Friday

The final round of the 2014 William H. Sutton Barristers' Union Trial Competition will be held at 2 p.m. this Friday, Oct. 3, in the E.J. Ball Courtroom, located on the second floor of the Robert A. Leflar Law Center.

University of Arkansas School of Law students Jordan Broyles and Chloe Fackler, representing the plaintiff, will argue their case against fellow students Brinkley Cook-Campbell and Britta Nicole Stamps, representing the defendant. Broyles and Fackler were the top seeded team in this year's competition, while Cook-Campbell and Stamps were the second seed.    

The round will be judged by an esteemed panel:

  • The Honorable Kristine G. Baker, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas.
  • The Honorable Susan O. Hickey, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas.
  • The Honorable Kenneth S. Hixson, Arkansas Court of Appeals.
  • Conner Eldridge, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas.

The event is open to the public, and the Law School invites anyone interested to attend.
