Students have the opportunity to take part in the University of Arkansas Social Media Photo Scavenger Hunt from Monday, Aug. 25, to Friday, Aug. 29.

In order to take part students will need to follow the account of the day, do the required photo challenge, tag the account of the day and @UA4Student on required social media of the day such as Twitter or Instagram and use the hashtag #UARKLife on each posting.

“The idea is to get students involved with our social media accounts and activities on campus during the first week of school,” said Scott Flanagin, executive director of communications, Division of Student Affairs.

A winner will be drawn randomly each day and a grand prize winner for the participant who completes each day of the entire week. The Division of Student Affairs will be posting the winner after each challenge on their Twitter and Instagram.

“If more than one student completes these challenges, and we really hope they do, then we will draw names to determine a grand prize winner,” Flanagin said.

Monday, Aug. 25, students will need to take a photo with an ASG representative at the ASG Cookout from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Union Mall. The account of the day to follow on Instagram will be UOFA_ASG.

Tuesday, Aug. 26, asks that students take a photo with the Fulbright statue or Fulbright banner. The account to follow on Twitter will be @UAFulbright.

Wednesday, Aug. 27, the challenge will be to take a photo with a faculty member grilling at the Dub Walton Welcome Back Block Party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Shollmier Plaza between the Business Building and Willard J. Walker Hall, and the account to follow on Twitter will be @uawaltoncollege.

Thursday, Aug. 28, students will need to take a photo of themselves or someone presenting at Open Mic Night from 7 to 9 p.m. in Pomfret Hall Great Room, and the account of the day to follow on Twitter will be @UARK_MC.

Friday, Aug. 29, students will need to take a selfie at the Silent Disco at Friday Night Live from 8 p.m. to midnight in the Arkansas Union, and the account of the day to follow on Twitter will be @uarkNSFP.
