Fall Into Fitness with University Recreation's Small Group Training
Small Group Training offers a unique opportunity to explore a new dimension of fitness by blending the camaraderie of a group with individualized attention of a certified personal trainer. Small Group Training is a great option for those seeking to be a part of a motivating team working toward achieving their fitness goals. Each class ranges from three to eight participants.
Paul Calleja, a regular Small Group Training participant, said, “I’ve been an athlete all my life and this is the best shape I have ever been in my whole life. Research is coming out regarding 30 minute high-intensity workouts that are very effective compared to other training modalities.”
Registration includes a class of your choosing meeting twice a week for six weeks and is led by a certified personal trainer. Complimentary demos will be held at the scheduled class times from Monday, Aug. 25, to Thursday, Sept. 4 (excluding Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 1).
Classes are offered at various times throughout the day, and are located at the HPER and UREC Fitness Center. The cost for students for the entire six week section ranges from $60-$80, all other UREC membership types range from $80-$100. UREC Non-Members are eligible to register with prices from $100-$120. There are two six week sections per class offered during the fall 2014 semester.
To register for Small Group Training, purchase your class pass before Monday, September 8th at the UREC main office located in HPER 225, or the UREC Fitness Center front desk in the Arkansas Union.
