U of A Collegiate Chorale on the stage of the Walton Arts Center

Auditions for all 2014-2015 U of A choral ensembles take place Monday, Aug. 25, and Tuesday, Aug. 26, in MUSC 331. Any interested students can sign-up for an audition slot on the Choral Activities board outside MUSC 335. The audition takes about 5 minutes, and there is no prepared material required.

All students, all majors, are eligible and welcome. Any student who auditions is guaranteed to be placed in one of the five choral ensembles on campus. Performances this year include concerts on campus and at the Walton Arts Center. The Schola Cantorum will tour to Little Rock and Hot Springs in February.

Choral ensembles are credited classes, worth 1 credit each.

The Schola Cantorum, one of the most distinguished choirs in the country, meets MWF 12:55-1:45 p.m. and TTH 12:30 - 1:20 p.m. Concert Choir meets MWF 11:50 a.m. to 12:40 p.m., and the Women's Chorus meets MWF 2-2:50 p.m. The Inspirational Chorale, the U of A's resident Gospel Choir, meets TTh 2-3:15 p.m., and the Master Chorale meets Monday evenings 6:30-8:30 p.m.
