The Associated Student Government invites students to apply to be ASG historian for the 2014-15 academic year.  Interested students may pick up applications for the ASG historian in the Office of Student Activities, ARKU A665, or download from asg.uark.edu/get-involved-join-us/applications. Any currently enrolled University of Arkansas student who meets co-curricular eligibility requirements may apply.

The historian will serve five office hours a week and earn a semester stipend of $250. The ideal candidate for this position will enjoy history, research, and discovering the rich legacy of ASG’s 93 years of history.

The ASG Historian documents ASG history via research, interviews, seeking photographs and other means. The historian will work with ASG alumni, Mullins Library, and the Arkansas Alumni Association in piecing and documenting ASG’s history.

“We are looking for someone who enjoys research, communicating with different groups, is organized, and values hard work. The outgoing historian did a tremendous job and we are looking for someone to maintain the work that has been laid out,” said Rudy Trejo, ASG adviser.

The application will remain open until filled. Contact the ASG adviser, Rudy Trejo, at rgtrejo@uark.edu with questions.

The Associated Student Government at the University of Arkansas is a student-led organization that acts as an organized voice for all students and strives to effectively represent student interest.
