Miran Kang, director of Instructional Design and Support Services, was named employee of the fourth quarter by the University of Arkansas Global Campus.

Kang leads a team of instructional designers who work with faculty and staff across the Fayetteville campus to bring academic courses online and to enhance on-campus courses by introducing technology that supports teaching strategies. Kang and her team also provide training to instructors who want to make courses more accessible and to enhance the quality of online courses to meet national standards.

Instructional designers also collaborate with units across campus – like the Wally Cordes Teaching and Faculty Support Center and the Faculty Technology Center – to support faculty who seek to enhance the learning experience of students in all modes of instruction.

The Global Campus initiated an employee recognition program in 2013 to recognize outstanding achievement and accomplishments that relate to the unit’s goals and the mission of the University of Arkansas.

The fourth quarter’s other nominees were Glen Dunn, Jolenda Hott, Erin Morgan and Suson Wheeler.

The honoree is selected by a vote of all Global Campus employees. The award winner receives a commemorative certificate and a monetary award.
