Internet Explorer Security Patch Released

Microsoft has released a security patch to address a critical vulnerability found in Internet Explorer versions 6 through 11. Windows users with automatic updates enabled will receive the patch automatically and are not required to take any action. Others, including Windows XP users, can download the patch at https://technet.microsoft.com/library/security/ms14-021.

The IT Services Security Team recommends that all Windows users upgrade to the latest version of Internet Explorer. Windows XP users are also strongly encouraged to upgrade to a modern operating system, such as Windows 7 or 8.1.

Faculty and staff requiring the security patch or software upgrades can contact their tech partners for assistance (https://techarticles.uark.edu/tech_partners/list).
