Conference to Examine How Analytics and Big Data Are Driving Supply Chain Transformation

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Supply Chain Management Research Center of the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas will hold its annual conference on April 23. This year’s conference theme is “Analytics Driving Supply Chain Transformation.”

The 13th annual conference will be held at the Donald W. Reynolds Center for Enterprise Development on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville. 

Keynote speakers for the event are Dhiraj Rajaram, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Mu Sigma; Mickey Mericle, vice president for Global Consumer Insights and Analytics at Walmart; and Keith Mercier, global retail transformation leader of IBM Watson.

Topics to be discussed at the conference include Embarking on Decision Sciences and Analytics and how Cognitive Computing Will Transform Retail As We Know It. In addition to the keynote presentations, there will be numerous breakout sessions on topics such as how advanced analytics are changing global supply technology, using business intelligence in transportation and logistics, and the role of value stream mapping in the application of predictive analytics.
